Mrs. Mary Louise Williams Adams was born in Ellaville, Georgia on June 10, 1941, to the parentage of the late Mr. John and Mrs. Gladys Davis Williams. She acquired her education in the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, she joined Springhill Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dan Thomas. In the late sixties, she worked in retail sales as the Manager of the Top Dollar Store here in Americus. Later, she became self employed as a licensed cosmetologist until her health began to fail. She was united in marriage to Arthur Adams on February 19, 1966. Her husband, Arthur precedes her in death along with her daughter, Deborah Turner; a brother, John L. Williams; and a niece, Joann Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving mother, Ms. Gladys Davis Williams of Americus, GA; one son, Mr. Henry Wade Williams of Union City, GA; four grandchildren: Jamisha Wright, Americus, GA; Chanel Christmas, College Park, GA; Alisha Williams, Falls Church, VA and Bryan J. Currie of Mesa, Arizona; two sisters-in- law: Ms. Juanita Adams, Oceans Springs, Mississippi and Ms. Betty Williams, Americus, GA; nine great grandchildren, Nicholas, Kanova, Quevoluia, Marion, Chance and Aubrey, all of Americus, GA; Zaniyah, Kiamora and Kayceon of College Park, GA; a devoted niece and nephew, Mrs. Lynn Cooper Battle and husband Charlie and Mr. Donyall (Lisa) Ingram; other nieces and nephews: David (Janice) Williams, Hampton, GA; Marquis Majors, Warner, Robins, GA; Rachel “Shell” Waters who was a devoted care taker, friend and goddaughter; several devoted friends: Ann Harvey, Nadine Pope, Frank Williams, Fannie McClary and Carlton Maye Sr., all of Americus, GA; her CNAs: Gwen Harris, Katrina Mould, Kimolyn Thomas and Diamond Taylor; she is also survived by several others relatives and friends.
