Clay Jones is a native of Americus, GA and a 1983 graduate of Americus High School. He is a second generation builder at Jones Construction. He has a specialty is brick and masonry. He is married to Tammye
Pettyjohn-Jones, a field representative for Congressman Sanford Bishop, Jr.
He and Tammy have three sons, Clay “CJ” Jones, a 2017 Tuskegee University graduate who is teaching middle school in Quitman County. Mycah Jones, a 2018 magna cum laude graduate of Florida A&M University and is pursuing a Doctorate in physical therapy. And Jurrell Jones is a sophomore at Tuskegee University majoring in architectural building construction.
Clay has two older sons, Adrian Jones a Marine Corp veteran who served in Afghanistan and De’Andre Jones, who lives in Chicago and works with the Barack Obama Foundation.
