Mr. Oscar Lee Prince

Mr. Oscar Lee Prince was born in Sumter County, Georgia on December 22, 1939 to the parentage of the late Mr. Albert Prince, Sr. and Mrs. Eula Mae Sampson Prince, who survives. Mr. Prince received his education in the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, he joined the Blooming Rose Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until his health failed. He retired from Anthony Dairy Farm in July 2003. Mr. Prince was a hardworking, caring and lovable husband, dad, son, brother, granddad and uncle. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mrs. Bernice Floyd Prince on December 27, 1960 in Americus, Georgia. They were happily married for 51 years, until her passing on June 30, 2012. Mr. Prince is preceded in death by two sons, Mr. Charlie Prince and Mr. Hollis Floyd, Sr.; three brothers: Master Ronnie Prince, Mr. Willie Lee Prince and Mr. Albert Prince, Jr.; three grandchildren: Sanica Carson, Kenzie Floyd and Antonio Floyd; his father-in-law, Mr. Ike Floyd, Jr.; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Riscoe Burton Floyd; a son-in-law, Mr. Willie Lee Walton; six brothers-in-law: Mr. Nathan Edge, Rev. Marcellous Willis, Mr. Andrew Floyd, Mr. Tommy Floyd, Mr. Ike, Floyd, III and Mr. Jimmy Lee Floyd, Sr.

In addition to his mother, Mrs. Eula Mae Sampson Prince of Americus, GA, he leaves to cherish his memories to four sons: Mr. Willie (Linda) Prince, Americus, GA; Mr. Arthur (Sandra) Prince, Desoto, GA; Mr. Bobby (Stacy) Prince, Albany, GA and Mr. Emmett Floyd and friend Caroline Barron, Leslie, GA; four daughters: Ms. Dorothy Floyd, Ms. Patricia Walton, Mrs. Christine (Patrick) Harris and Mrs. Brenda (James) Baker, all of Americus, GA; five brothers: Mr. David (Mary) Prince, Mr. Ernest (Barbara) Prince, Mr. Sampson Prince, Mr. James Prince, all of Americus, GA and Mr. John Lee (Susie) Prince, Belle Glade, FL; seven sisters: Mrs. Betty (Anno) Harris, Mrs. Reatha B. (John) Dowdell, Mrs. Delois (Rev. Karl) Wilson, Ms. Dorothy Queenie, Mrs. Barbara (John) Boone, all of Americus, GA; Ms. Anna Willis, Leslie, GA and Ms. Mattie Mae Edge, Albany, GA; a daughter-in-law, Ms. Mary Jean Floyd, Leslie, GA; five brothers-in-law: Mr. David Floyd and friend Geraldine Kimbrough, Mr. James Floyd, Mr. Ernest (Joann) Floyd, all of Americus, GA; Mr. Amos Floyd, Leesburg, GA and Mr. John (Pat) Floyd, Cordele, GA; three sisters-in-law: Ms. Stella Floyd Robinson, Ms. Rosa Floyd, both of Americus, GA and Ms. Mary Floyd, Detroit, MI; 32 grandchildren, including three he raised as his own: Kenny Floyd, Shanterria Prince and Darryl Davis, Jr.; 50 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.
