Mrs. Carolyn T. Bateman
Mrs. Carolyn T. Bateman was born April 19, 1947, in Sumter County, GA to the late Mr. Willie Tyner and the late Mrs. Nancy Mack Tyner. She attended Eastview School. She was a member of the Big Bethel Baptist Church, where she served as a dedicated usher. At an early age, she became a member of the Greater Cedar Springs Baptist Church, where she served as a faithful member and also as an usher. Later, she moved her membership to the Big Bethel Baptist Church and served as a faithful member, a member of the Pastor’s Aide Ministry and also President of the Board of Ushers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Jake Tyner, Eddie Wade Tyner, Eddie Dean Tyner, Thomas Tyner, Teddy Tyner, Samuel Tyner, Johnny Lee and Jessie Tyner, Mary Blue and Ozzie Bell Angrish.
The passing of Carolyn has left an impact on everyone that she met during her life journey. She had a big heart and would lend a helping hand to anyone. Carolyn was greatly appreciated and will be certainly missed.
Left to cherish her memories are: her loving daughter, Ms. Gloria Tyner Young, Americus, GA; her son, Mr. Brian Keith Tyner of Clarksville, TN; her beloved grandchildren: Ms. LaDonnia Young, Americus, GA; Mr. Brian Keith (Lisa) Tyner, Jr., Lawton, OK; Mr. Alvin (Jessica) Young, Jr., Atlanta, GA; her great-grandchildren: Ajalah J. Davis, Jalen R. Wallace, Kabrion (Shakiria) Young, Ajarious Young, Alivian Young, Amethyst Young, Omod Young, Tre Tyner and Boston Tyner; her sister, Ms. Ella Gloria Tyner, Americus, GA; her brother, Mr. Sammy Joe Tyner, Albany, GA; her sisters-in-law: Ms. Bertha Tyner, Ms. Ruby Lee Tyner, Ms. Georgia Tyner and Ms. Viola Tyner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including devoted friends: Ms. Mammie Gaye and her husband, Tyisha Brown and family, Cornelia Sims, Aliya and family, Tren Chambliss Williamson and family and Sandreia Carter also survive.
