LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY ® Impossibility Power

June 2019

Dr. Andrea Oates

“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” {Matt 19:26}

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” {Phil 4:13}

“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, ‘Remove hence to yonder place,’ and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible to you.” {Matt 17:20}

Humans are powerful beings. The human brain is capable of performing amazing feats. The human will to live can literally keep you from the brink of otherwise imminent death. In fact, over half of diagnosed diseases are psychologically-induced. Our body automatically works to heal itself. And human ingenuity has created the technologically-advanced world that we are living in. We are the most versatile and well-designed living organism that God has ever created.

However, with all of our talents and natural abilities, we fall short of doing the impossible. Impossibilities are limits of our human nature. Every one of us lacks some area of knowledge in our lives. We all have situations that we desperately want answers to. We do not know the hidden mysteries of the world. And although we have been given a measure of power, we are not all-powerful. We only have the power that God gives us to operate in this world. We are only in one locale at a time. Therefore, inherently, humans are limited.

Lastly, we are fallible. Only humans needed a Savior to deliver us from our own sins. But, if we are a Christian, we know Someone Who is.

Although we are limited, God is not. Remember, God is the almighty supreme God that created the world that we see and the worlds that we do not see. It is His power through His words that brought every single visible and invisible thing into being. The Word declares that God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent. In essence, God alone is absolutely omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and completely perfect. He is not bound by our inabilities. There is no limit in Him. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the beginning and the end.

The Bible states that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. After all, we are created in His image and likeness. However, sometimes we confuse ourselves. Although we are made in the image of God, we are all not His children. Don’t get me wrong. We certainly have the opportunity. But no murderer, for example, is God’s child. In John 8:44 (KJV), Jesus Himself revealed that murderers, for example, are the children of the devil–not God. So we must not confuse the two. God’s children are those reborn by His Spirit. Only the sons of God are imparted God’s Spirit. And it is by His Spirit that God accomplishes His mighty works. Therefore, by His Spirit, all things are possible to him that believes. Nothing is impossible to us. We inherit His
Impossibility Power.

Now, there are no more excuses. Your life is solely the result of the power of God that you are or are not using. We can walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. We can resist temptation because God always makes a way of escape. And we can move mountains-anything that hinders us from
receiving all that God’s Word has promised us. And, lastly, life and death are in the Impossibility Power that we have. We exercise that power by the words that we speak. God created the worlds by the Words He spoke. Therefore, we can create our very realities by speaking the Word of the Living God.

The power that we have is no joke! The Holy Spirit is a quickening Spirit. That means He is the Spirit that brings dead or non-existent things to life. By the Holy Spirit, we can literally raise the dead just like
Jesus did. The Word lets us know that God is looking for us to do even greater works than Jesus, Himself, did. How can He expect that of us? Because He gave us His Spirit to accomplish the impossible for the
benefit of ourselves and all of creation.

If you are born again, Jesus is no longer an only child. You are also a begotten child of God. So expect to operate beyond your own natural human ability. Do the impossible, just like your Father. And since He rules not only in the earth, but in every atmosphere, system, and galaxy, the sky is not even our limit. In
Ephesians 2:6 (KJV), the Word declares that we are even seated with Him high in heavenly places.

Peter, being fallible, walked on water just as Jesus did. Elijah, being a human just like us, ran before a king’s trained chariot of horses and controlled rain with his prayers. Likewise, Jesus rebuked the wind and waves to create a calm environment while on sea. Samson downed an entire multi-level temple with his own hands. Jesus, by the power of His Word, caused demons to flee. Through prayer and faith, all of these did the impossible. As sons of God, His power was with them to accomplish anything imaginable. There are no limits in God. When we tap into God’s power, what can’t we do?

The power to become a son of God is available to us all. Make your calling and election sure by saying a prayer of salvation. In the instant that you do, the Holy Spirit will come into your spirit. You will know
by faith that God is your Abba Father and you are now endowed with limitless possibilities.

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to come into my heart. Forgive me of my sins. I receive Jesus Christ, your Son, as the Lamb of God that takes away my sins. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Make me brand new. And teach me about my limitless possibilities in you. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
