Johnnie Ladd, Sr.
Mr. Johnnie Ladd, Sr. was born in Sumter County, Georgia on April 18, 1950, to the parentage of the late Mr. Doss Ladd and the late Mrs. Jessie Bell Barner Ladd. He received his education in the public schools of Sumter County. He was a member of the Union Whitely Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Tommy Law. He was employed with Short Farms for over 30 years. He was married to Leana M. Ladd and to that union, two children were born.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Ray Gene Ladd, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Mr. David (Sabrina) Dodson and Mr. Johnny Ladd, Jr. of Americus, GA; a daughter, Mrs. Pamela (Ray)
Daniels, Lawrenceville, GA; three sisters: Ms. Jena Ann Ladd, Greenville, SC; Mrs. Loretta (Felder) Daniels, Leslie, GA and Mrs. Shirley Anne (Johnnie) Johnson, Rochester, NY; one uncle, Mr. Calvin (Mary) Barner, Americus, GA; four grandchildren: Rayianna Daniels, Janella Dodson, Donell Dodson and Jaylen Daniels; a goddaughter, Ms. Linda Smith; the nursing staff of DaVita Dialysis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including close family friends, including, Mr. William Pullum, Albany, GA; Mr. Walter “Red” Tyson, Jr., Mr. Claude “Skeeter” Dodson, Mr. Bobby “Bro” Sims, Mr. Charles “Lighting” Ingram, Mr. James Miles, Jr., Mr. Charles “Jeru” Tyson and Mr. David Jones also survive.
