Mr. Willie L. Clark of 324 County Line Snead Road, Leslie, Georgia died Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at his residence.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 3:30 PM in the sanctuary of the St. John Baptist Church in Leslie, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Council Cemetery in Leslie, Georgia.

Brother Willie Lee Clark was born on April 7, 1950 in Sumter County, Georgia to the late John Clark and Mary Alice Hamilton Clark. He was preceded in death by one brother, Deacon Henry Holt.

Brother Clark was educated in the public school system of Sumter County. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Sumter County. Willie was employed with Wal-Mart in Americus, Georgia for many years.

It was on July 3, 1976, when Willie was united in marriage to his soulmate, Nancy Snead Clark. They shared their lives together as husband and wife for 43 years. Willie was kind, loving, affectionate, and soft spoken.

On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, he quietly slipped away from those who loved him and cherished him dearly. He shall always be remembered.

Cherished memories of his life will forever live in the hearts of his beloved and devoted wife, Nancy Snead Clark, Leslie, Georgia; a dedicated daughter, Tiffany Clark, Leslie, Georgia; four godchildren, Sammia Farrior and Tariyah Davis of Leslie, Georgia, Kennedy Broner, and Trent Sampson of Albany, Georgia; five supportive brothers, Joe Ed Clark and Arthur James (Dorothy) Clark of Leslie, Georgia, Benjamin Clark, Desoto, Georgia, John (Vera) Clark, Jr., Columbus, Georgia, and Charlie Cook, Warner Robins, Georgia; two affectionate sisters, Martha Clark Snead and Frances Maddox of Americus, Georgia; three caring sisters-in-law, Mamie (Arthur) Robinson, Desoto, Georgia, Carrie Snead, Atlanta, Georgia, and Katie Farrior, Montezuma, Georgia; three brothers-in-law, Garner (Callie) Snead, Detroit, Michigan, Ernest Snead and Willie (Loretta) Snead, Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including some devoted friends, Eddie Lee Biggins, Jake Reese, Tomeka Haylsip, Erika Taylor, and Starlin Sampson also survive.
