Mr. James C. Jackson

September 22, 1932 – January 7, 2020

Mr. James C. Jackson was born in Pittsview, Alabama on September 22, 1932, to the parentage of the late Mr. Price Jackson and the late Mrs. Mozelle Grier Jackson. He received his education in the public schools of Sumter County. At the age of 25, he moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. There, he became employed with Palm Beach County. He retired after many years of dedicated service. In 1997, he moved back to Americus and united with the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

James C. Jackson was the coolest of the bunch. He never allowed his age to dictate who he was. He was always humble, loving, caring, and believed in giving God his time. When you met him, you instantly fell in love with him. He was a great son, father, brother, husband, grandfather, uncle and cousin. He was married to the late Mrs. Rozzie Whitehead Jackson. In addition to his parents and his wife, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Mr. Homer Jackson and Mr. Tommy C. Jackson.

Although he was soft-spoken, when he spoke you listened. Our lives will never be the same without him. But his memories will forever live on inside each and everyone of us.

Left to cherish his memories are three sons: Mr. Tommy C. Jackson, Mr. Jessie L. Jackson and Mr. James C. Jackson, Jr., all of West Palm Beach, FL; two daughters, Ms. Marian A. Jackson and Ms. Denisha Jackson, both of Riviera Beach, FL; two brothers, Mr. John and Ms. Jackie Green Jackson of Americus, GA and Mr. Jessie (Hattie) Jackson of Allentown, PA; one loving and devoted sister, Ms. Christine J. Maxwell, Detroit, MI; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, including a devoted nephew, Mr. Kelvin Jackson; cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.
