Americus-Sumter High School recently recognized staff member Clarence Lewis as “Support Staff of the Month” for February. Assistant Principal Todd Vickery presented the award to Lewis in a ceremony held in the school library. For his service, Lewis received a brass plaque and then posed for a photo. “Mr. Lewis is always willing to help out in any way he can, and he always does so with a big smile,” said Vickery. “He is hardworking and dedicated to providing a safe and clean environment for our students, teachers,
and visitors.”

Lewis has worked at ASHS for the past eight years. He expressed gratitude for receiving the award: “I really enjoy working at ASHS. The staff are very nice, and I enjoy my coworkers so much because they always help me out.” He continued, “Sometimes we may think the work we do goes unnoticed, so it’s nice when people notice, and let me know they appreciate all my hard work.”
