Deacon Johnny Clyde Fuller

Deacon Johnny Clyde Fuller was born in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia on
September 23, 1934, to the parentage of the late Mr. Warren Fuller and the late Mrs. Mary Sampson Fuller. He received his education in the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, he joined the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully and was the Board of Deacons Chairman. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was
a member of the St. Bartholomew Lodge #177. He was married to the late Mrs. Gertrude Mathis Fuller.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he is also preceded in death by four brothers: Mr. Robert Fuller, Mr. James Fuller, Mr. Warren Fuller, Jr. and Mr. Walter Fuller.

Left to cherish his loving memories are four sons: Mr. Johnny Lee Mathis, Jr., Mr. Reginald Keith Mathis, Mr. Dean (Ashley) Mathis, all of Americus, GA and Mr. Fred Westheimer, Savannah, GA; three daughters: Ms. Henrietta Smith, Atlanta, GA; Ms. Annette Jenkins and Ms. Jeanie Lavender, both of Americus, GA; two sisters, Ms. Mary Fuller Westheimer and Ms. Vera Fuller Williams; a host of grandchildren, including: Jorden Mathis, Kenley Mathis, Vincent Mathis, Braylon Terry, Briceton Terry, Malik Jones and Jasmine Jones; a host of nieces, including a devoted niece, Ms. Becky Green; nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including devoted friends, Ms. Leola Carter and Ms. Thomasena Williams also survive.
