President-Elect Trump’s Voters Are Ignorant

Perhaps former Republican 2012 presidential candidate and governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney, publicly warned that President-elect Donald Trump is a “phony and a conman.” Romney’s harsh, but correct judgment of Donald Trump, probably resulted in Romney not being selected for the coveted Secretary of State position with which he was interviewed. But, Trump’s loyal supporters went ahead and voted for such an idiot to be President of the United States.

Not only did Trump’s devoted group ignore Romney’s urgent warnings, but also many other Republican leaders declared that Trump is “unfit to be president.” we predict that his devoted voters will be sadly disappointed the next two years of a Trump presidency. And his choice of cabinet secretary for education, health, labor, energy, justice, and housing will produce great suffering. These nominees will dismantle programs that help the poor people of America.

Okay, the election is over and Donald Trump won. But, Democrats and many
Republicans are surprised and disappointed. Democrats have to fight the Republican-controlled congress because their policies will devastate the average citizen.. We have suffered this type disappointment before when George Bush stole the election from Al Gore and the US Supreme Court gave Bush the presidency. In this election, uninformed ignorant White voters elected the “phony con man” to be the next president. Most Republican and
Democratic polls predicted Clinton would be the next president of the United States.

Despite all of the proven lies he said, stupid theories he peddled, and offensive sexist actions he displayed during the campaign, Trump the con man won anyway. Yet, his core supporters were undeterred about his inappropriate conduct for someone seeking the highest office in the land. After all, Trump bragged during the campaign that he could “shoot someone on Fifth Avenue” and his supporters won’t care. And his religious-right supporters fed into this narrative as they hid their Bibles, caring less that
Trump could grab any woman he wanted; that these voters didn’t care that Trump never released his taxes; that he hasn’t paid taxes in 20 years; that he never submitted a “comprehensive” health record; that his conflict of interests with his businesses would be a major concern; that his tacit support
for white nationalists, like the Ku Klux Klan; and that his constant praise of
Russia’s former KGB man, Vladimir Putin who is a main enemy of the United States. Yes, none of these concerns troubled his voters…

Many Republican leaders condemned Trump “drain the swamp” rhetoric; yet, they kept their disgust with him among themselves for the sake of their political party. Black women voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton. However, 40% of the American people did not vote at all. And, the election results show that 13 million Black men voted for Trump. Surprisingly, more Hispanics voted for Trump than expected according to poll results. Remember, Trump made very derogatory remarks about Mexicans, calling some rapists. Those minority supporters of Trump are in for a rude awakening when this man and his Republicans cut so many services that they need.

With the Republicans controlling all branches of the federal government and most of the governors’ mansions, Republicans will be able to privatize Social Security, destroy Medicare, seriously cut Medicaid, repeal the Affordable Care Act, and cut food stamps. Cutting these programs are prime targets for Republicans. Yet, the majority of food stamp holders and Medicaid recipients
are Whites.
